How to raise your rates now [Issue 006]
Don’t wait a year (or two or three) to raise your rates.
I know people who have gone 3+ years without raising their rates. They are getting better and faster all the time, but they are still getting paid the same.
Don’t get stuck with an outdated rate.
One way to do this is raise your rates a little for each new client.
This isn’t all that complicated, but it can still be scary.
So if you feel like you need permission, consider this to be your permission slip to raise your rates 5% for your next client.
Note: This is easiest for completely new clients, but it doesn’t mean you can’t also raise your rates for current clients... there’s just more to consider.
